Finally settled

HI, finally we're back in the house, furniture back in and a fantastic shower that works, the kitchen is fab I've got back into baking and chris is in his element doing the main courses yummilitious.

We have are first official guests staying this weekend chris's friends John and Rob they all go off and take photo's, they're absolutely fabulous, hopefully I'll be able to put some on the blog, it's been great fun, hope they come again.

The sun has been shining today and everything looks quite cheerful, the garden needs tidying up abit but nothing major. The girls have had great fun in the sun having their photo taken and sophie has been posing as well ,she was in her element, bless.

See you soon

Well the weekend here again, what a week what with the snow and the builders not being able to get to us but it's not all been bad. The carpet man did turn up on friday and the lounge is finally finished yippeeee!

So guess what we were doing at the weekend? Yes moving in yet again but well worth it the lounge looks beautiful so one room down two more to go, hopefully the electrician and builder will turn up on monday and work will finally be finished.

So i'm going to sit in my comfy chair after eating a delicious dinner and sip my glass of wine watching the tv.

See you soon

Proper Snow today! It's one of those days you sort of wish you didn't work from home all the time. I though about crying off but it is only 30 yards to my office!

The Landy has proved it's self today good and proper. Drove to Leek and back almost boringly easily. Not until you see all the other cars abandoned at the side of the roads do you realise how good it is.

Anyhow the little cottage looking beautiful. I must get out and take some pictures while it is still covered will post them soon.

Builders are nearly done the last visit was supposed to be today but they have cried off. Wimps :)

The Family

Our family consists of Chris, myself, badger, merl (the collies), sophie the cat (the queen), Nikita and Shelby (the teenagers, my daughters) who come and stay with us various nights throughout the week, all of which drives me bonkers on occasssions, but I love them all dearly and without whom I probably would have gone mad myself over the last few months but the one thing that has kept us all going is that we all love that cottage on the corner.

Over the next few weeks hopefully if I get time I'll tell you about some of merl and badgers exploits and what mischief they've been upto, they are still only puppies and not 1 till march and at times you don't know whether to laugh or cry (mainly we laugh) at the things they do.

Speak to you soon luv ya loads

History

Our little cottage is looking a little battered and bruised just at them moment. I'm sure I will post more about why over the coming weeks but builders are nearly done with all the work. We though end of January despite being told it would be all done for Christmas.

Well it is winter and it has rained more or less solidly since around November. There is no colour in the Garden and the dogs have churned up all the grass.

However, today the sun is shining, the stream is tinkling along side, the birds are singing and there are little shoots appearing on some of the bushes and up from the garden. I remember now why we loved it so much to start with.
